Québec–Shandong cooperation task force

In August 2008, the provinces of Québec and Shandong signed an agreement on developing close ties of friendship and cooperation. This agreement prescribes the creation of a joint task force, whose mandate is to encourage cooperation between the two partners, including the selection of projects  submitted by both. For that purpose, a preliminary task force met on June 11, 2009 to select the projects that can be executed over a period of up to two years. Following this first meeting, eleven projects were selected, and this, in a variety of sectors ranging from tourism in marine science to the environment.

The international scientific meeting to be held from June 18th – 20th, 2011, in Jinan, falls within the scope of the project entitled “Quebec-Shandong Cooperation in the Field of Excellence in Tourism Destinations”.
