News :
- The World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) invites you to participate in the «Tourism a key driver of economic growth and employment: Policies to enhance competitiveness» taking place in Madrid January 17 2012 (Decembre 15 2011).
- The Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) and the Government of Ceará, Brazil, will bring together international and national experts to debate the impact of tourism on development, social inclusion and regional integration in the Americas (Fortaleza, Brazil, 28- 29 November 2011) [November 18 2011].
- The UNWTO held its 19th Annual General Meeting and the 91st and 92nd sessions of its Executive Council in October 2011 at Gyeongjiu, Republic of Korea. Decisions taken at these events are available in the organization's five official languages (November 18 2011).
- The Director of UQAM's Office of International Relations travelled to China June 12 to 24 2011 to advance various projects related to several faculties at UQAM (July 20 2011).
- Representatives from the University of Québec in Montréal (UQAM) and Shandong University gathered in Jinan, Shandong from June 18 to 20 for an international scientific meeting on destination management excellence (July 20 2011).
- Kéroul receives the United Nations World Tourism Organization's (UNWTO's) prestigious Ulysses Award for The Accessible Road (June 8).
- The first meeting of experts and researchers on tourism in the Arab world took place on April 28th and 29th in Marrakech in Morocco (May 10 2011).
- In the framework of a work session in Montreal with a delegation from University of Science and Technology Houari Boumediene (USTHB), a cooperative agreement was signed with UQAM April 20, 2011. The Embassy of Algeria in Canada also broadcasts this event (May 7 2011).
- April 20 2011, a cooperative agreement was signed between UQAM and Bab Ezzouar University (USTHB) (May 7 2011).
- The UNWTO and the University of Algarve welcome you to the Forum Tourism and Science: Bridging theory and practice, to be held in Vilamoura, Algarve, Portugal, on 1-3 June 2011. Participants are invited to submit papers by April 30 (April 6 2012).
- Mr. André Vallerand, President of the World Centre of Excellence for Destinations (CED), has been appointed Special Advisor on Destination Management to the Secretary General of the United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO), Mr. Taleb Rifai (March 11 2011).
